Who Are We?

Temple is a body of believers committed to the Great Commandment (Love God, Love one another--Matt. 22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Share the good news of Jesus Christ with others and disciple believers in Christ--Matt. 28:19-20). 

The family of believers at Temple Baptist desire people to move through three phases in their involvement here at Temple. 

BELIEVE. The first is Believe! Our desire is to see people come to saving faith in Jesus Christ.  This is made possible by the work completed by Christ on the cross as He took our sins upon Himself and paid the penalty of our sins and then rose triumphantly from the grave and defeated the penalty for sin and death once and for all!

BELONG.  The second is to realize they belong!  We are a body of believers who recognize that we are sinners who have been forgiven.  Hope has found us and we are not alone.  We desire to be a community of believers who are driven by a common passion for the glory of God in our lives and to be family to those seeking hope in their lives!

BECOME.  The third is to Become! Become what you ask?  Our desire is to see believers become servants and ministers for the glory of Christ our Savior!  Become people who desire to make a difference in the lives of the people around them.  Become people who care about the physical and spiritual needs of those in our world.  Become people of Obedience unto our Great God and Savior by living out His Word faithfully everyday!

BELIEVE ....  BELONG .... BECOME .... This is the heart of the Great Commission and the Great Commandment--That we might believe in Jesus Christ and learn to love and serve Him by serving those around us and sharing the hope and peace that we have in Jesus Christ with everyone around us!
